            The Minden Gross LLP Commercial Real Estate Group represents developers, owners, and tenants of commercial and industrial properties, shopping centres, and condominiums. The group provides broad experience in construction, development agreements, including land acquisition and assembly, zoning matters and land use matters, joint ventures, ground leases, construction contracts, and property management.

            Our significant institutional real estate practice represents high profile REITs and other public real estate entities, banks, trust companies, and insurance companies. We provide counsel for lenders and borrowers in structuring, restructuring, negotiating, implementing, and completing a wide variety of transactions, including acquisitions, sales and various financing strategies for real estate projects.

            ​We are pleased to have been chosen by Royal Bank of Canada as designated counsel in lending, litigation, and bankruptcy/insolvency work out and enforcement matters.

            The Commercial Real Estate Group consists of leading practitioners including David M. Kutner, Leonard E. Baranek, Steven I. Pearlstein and Ronald Molson who represent some of Canada's major real estate and banking institutions. The group is led by Reuben Rosenblatt, LLD, QC, LSM, an acknowledged leader in Canadian real estate practice. In addition to serving as a professor of real estate law for more than 20 years, and as a distinguished contributor to, and editor of academic journals, Mr. Rosenblatt is the first recipient of the Canadian Bar Association's (Ontario Division) Award of Excellence in Real Estate. He is also the recipient of the Osgoode Hall Law School Award of Excellence in teaching.
